For Missy VanWormer, full time animal director for Teddy's Rescue in Findlay, the thought of the place closing is something she doesn't want to think about.
The no kill shelter is having financial problems. Some months they make it.... other months they just barely squeak by.
J. W. Hollington and his wife Sue along with Cindy Smith ran the shelter in various locations before building the shelter on Twp. Rd. 99 just north of Findlay.
Teddy's rescue works with the Humane Society of Hancock County and does not accept stray dogs or cats.
There is a 50 dollar fee for owners to surrender their dogs, 25 dollars for cats.
Business director John Froton says there is definitely a need for their shelter in the community.
The cost to adopt a dog at Teddy's Rescue is 150 dollars.
