Tentative agreement reached between General Dynamics and UAW

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The United Auto Workers union and General Dynamics have reached a tentative agreement on a new labor contract.

The new contract would cover hundreds of workers at plants with defense contracts, like the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center. A couple of weeks ago, union members from Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania voted to strike when their four-year contract expired at 11:50 Sunday night. However, according to the Local 2075 Facebook page, a tentative agreement was reached. There is no word on the details of the agreement or when workers will vote on it. This is a separate bargaining unit from the union members dealing with a contract with the big three automakers. Those members have been on strike for over a month now.
