Three charged with stealing items from tornado-damaged areas of Indian Lake

LOGAN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Three people from West Mansfield were arrested for allegedly stealing items from tornado-damaged areas around Indian Lake.

The three suspects, 62-year-old Jeffrey Rivers, 37-year-old Edward Langley, and 37-year-old Brandy Durnell, have been charged with grand theft by the Logan County Sheriff's Department.

According to the Bellefontaine Examiner, deputies found a vehicle with a trailer in the parking lot of a Bellefontaine business just after midnight. The trailer had bicycles, totes of clothes, and other items, plus a motorcycle. Deputies asked who owned the motorcycle, and they said they didn't know who owned it but found it in a storage unit in Lakeview by itself. They told the deputies that they were taking it to law enforcement to find the owner. After contacting the motorcycle's owner, it was learned that no one was permitted to get the motorcycle.

The trio will be arraigned on Tuesday, and bonds were set at $5,000 each. The rest of the items will be held at the Logan County Sheriff's Office.
