LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Three fun-filled days wrapped up today as 30 young ladies were introduced to scouting.
It was time to cool off when we caught up to these scouts having fun playing Duck-Duck-Goose. It was their annual Recruitment Day Camp to introduce girl scouting to these possible future scouts. Several agencies came in to provide educational projects, and basic scouting tasks like fire building were also covered.
There were several current scouts on hand to share what they do in scouting.
"I'm getting to do fun crafts, and I get to play in the water, and it's just really fun. I get to learn more and more at stuff at Girl Scouts," commented Emry Welk, Girl Scout.
"I joined because there was nothing really to do and I wanted to get outside and have some fun," said Scarlet Willis, Girl Scout.
