Traffic stop in Putnam County leads to drug bust

Deputies say two men were caught in Putnam County with a variety of drugs.

The sheriff's office has in custody, 30-year-old Rene Valdez and 20-year-old Dakota Valdez, both of Defiance, who were arrested after a traffic stop on Saturday. The Putnam K-9 unit was called in and allegedly found drugs in the car. Deputies searched the car and say they found, cocaine, meth, crack cocaine, marijuana and oxycodone pills. The street value of all the drugs is said to be over $7,500.

Both men have been charged with possession of cocaine and are in Putnam County Jail on $150,000 and $100,000 bond respectively.
