LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Trinity United Methodist Church brought families together through their Easter egg hunt. With cookies, prizes, and the Easter bunny there to greet each child, participating families had a blast at their annual Easter Extravaganza. This kicks off the spring season, as well as bringing festive cheer for Easter.

Organizers say this is a great way to spread their youth mission across the community. From 3 years old to preteen, each kid was able to find eggs and take them home.

Trinity United Methodist Church Easter egg hunt brings joy and community spirit

"It just gets people out and have fun. We have over a thousand eggs and really, just bring awareness to our church and our youth program while all having fun at the same time," says Kyle Ley, Director of Youth Programs at Trinity United Methodist Church.

"What's your favorite part about today?"

"Today I got a million hundred eggs," says Amirah Marie, an egg hunter.

"A million hundred eggs? That's awesome!"

By having this Easter egg hunt, not only was the church able to connect with families for their ministries but also have a good time hunting down candy.
