Van Wert, OH (WLIO) - Two people are now in custody after counterfeit money was circulating in Van Wert County.
The Van Wert Police Department state that they have been investigating several issues of counterfeit currency being used in several locations within the city.
Two persons of interest were identified and were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at the 118 East Maple apartment complex. Police seized counterfeit money and items to make counterfeit money.
One is being held in Paulding County Jail, while the other is being held in Defiance. We will update this story as more details become available.
