March 22, 2024 Press Release from the University of Northwestern Ohio: The University of Northwestern Ohio will hold a two-day Spring Preview event starting at the UNOH Student Commons, 1739 Hartzler Road, Lima, Ohio, on Friday, April 5th and Saturday, April 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.
The Spring Preview Days will feature scholarship tests each day where $120,000 in scholarships will be awarded. Scholarship tests will be offered in the following categories for current High School Juniors: automotive technology, diesel technology, agricultural equipment technology, robotics & automation technology, and HVAC/R technology. Current High School Juniors AND seniors can test in information technology, medical technology, or general studies. The winner in each category will receive a $5,000 scholarship to UNOH with second-place winners earning a $4,000 scholarship. Third place will receive a $3,000 scholarship, fourth place will receive a $2,000 scholarship, and fifth place will receive a $1,000 scholarship! Testing will be held throughout the day at various locations on campus and representatives will direct interested students to their appropriate testing areas. While the scholarship tests are only available to High School Juniors and Seniors, the Spring Preview Days are designed for anyone interested in attending UNOH!
Students, friends, and their families can tour the entire 200-acre campus throughout the two-day event. There will be opportunities to discuss financial aid, housing, scheduling, employment, and detailed curriculum information with department representatives. Classrooms and training equipment will be on display with opportunities to speak with instructors and current UNOH students about courses. Information will also be available for adults or non-traditional students to discuss unique educational options including 100% online courses or a mix of both online and on-campus classes. Spring Preview Days are an excellent opportunity for prospective students to become acquainted with the University.
