Wapakoneta Noon Optimist Club holds 4th annual "Carnival at the Waterpark"

Wapakoneta children had the chance to make a splash and have some fun at the waterpark carnival Wednesday afternoon.

The carnival is put on by the Wapakoneta Noon Optimist Club, and there were lots of activities for children to enjoy, like carnival games and learning about water safety from the local fire department.  They could also take advantage of the pools in the waterpark, jumping off the diving boards and going down the large slide. The carnival is put on to help the waterpark as the summer starts.

"It's a wonderful facility and we just wanted to be able to support the attendance of the part on an afternoon and give the kids something really fun to remember when they come to the waterpark," said Connie Krites, Youth & Community Board Chair for the Wapakoneta Noon Optimist.

This is the fourth year that the carnival has been put on.
