June 20, 2024, Press Release from the Delphos Police Department: On 6-9-2024 officers were sent to the 24000 block of Lincoln Highway to check the well-being of an elderly couple whose daughter was unable to make contact with them.

On 6-9-2024 officers were sent to Water Works Park for two small children left unattended.

On 6-9-2024 officers spoke with a female who stated that she believed her son was using drugs and she refused to let him in the residence.

On 6-9-2024 an employee at a gas station on E. 5th St, contacted the police department to report that a male took items from inside the store and then left without paying for those items or the gas he pumped in his vehicle.

On 6-10-2024 officers were sent to the 900 block of N. Main St, for an unruly juvenile complaint.

On 6-10-2024 officers responded to a minor private property accident in the 200 block of W. 5th St.

On 6-11-2024 officers on patrol located a male, 31-year-old Michael Whittaker, of Delphos, who had an active warrant for a parole violation. Whittaker was taken into custody and transported to jail.

On 6-11-2024 a male called the police department to report that he saw two people in the 800 block of N. Main St, who appeared to be hitting vehicles at a business in that area. Officers did not observe any damage to any vehicles.

On 6-12-2024 officers were sent to the 200 block of Holland Ave, for male on the premises who had been previously evicted.

On 6-12-2024 an employee at a business on Spencerville Rd, contacted the police department in reference to the business being the victim of wire fraud.

On 6-12-2024 officers were sent to the 500 block of S. Main St, to investigate an abandoned 911 call.

On 6-12-2024 officers performed an immobilization of a vehicle in the 100 block of W. 1st St, after receiving a post-conviction order from the court to do so.

On 6-12-2024 officers were sent to a business on Moxie Lane for a suspicious male who had been on the property for a lengthy period of time. The male was located by officers and began complaining of chest pain. Delphos EMS transported the male to the hospital.

On 6-12-2024 a male called the police department to speak with officers about being assaulted by a previous roommate. The male told officers that the assault had occurred over a year ago.

On 6-13-2024 officers were sent to 24249 Lincoln Highway after a male called stating his girlfriend locked him out of the residence. Officers resolved that issue but were sent back to the residence a short time later for a continuing disturbance. The male was warned of his persistent disorderly conduct.

On 6-13-2024 officers spoke with a male in the 900 block of Superior St, in reference to his ex-girlfriend violating a no contact order issued by the court.

On 6-13-2024 officers were dispatched to Water Works Park for two small females wandering in the park unattended. Officers located the girls just as their father arrived looking for them. A report was written and forwarded to Allen County Children’s Services.

On 6-14-2024 officers were sent to the 200 block of W. Clime St, for a possible Breaking and Entering complaint. Officers arrived and found that a male who had been evicted from the premises was on the property. It was also found that the male currently owns the trailer which sits on the property. The male was advised to leave the property at this time and contact the manager of the property for guidance.

On 6-15-2024 a male called to report that he believes his neighbors, who live in an apartment above him, are spying on him through a hole in his ceiling.

On 6-15-2024 a resident in the 700 block of W. 2nd St, called to report that someone attempted to enter their residence through a basement screen window.

On 6-15-2024 officers were dispatched to the 300 block of W. 6th St, for a Domestic Disturbance.
