A suspect is in custody in connection with an afternoon bank robbery in Lima.
The Allen County Sheriff's Office says the robber struck the Fifth Third branch at Eastgate Plaza around 3:30 Monday afternoon, and witnesses were able to get license plate numbers and a description of the vehicle used by the robber. The vehicle was then located later in the afternoon in Pandora, where the Pandora Police and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office took a female suspect in custody. Chief Deputy Jim Everett of the Allen County Sheriff's Department says the woman is believed to be the person who robbed that same Fifth Third branch last Wednesday, getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
So far no charges have been filed in the case.
