Most recently, they released a report on Medicaid that showed more than 100,000 people registered in Ohio as well as up to eight other states, costing Ohioans nearly a billion dollars.

Lima City Council held their second to last regular meeting of the year earlier Monday evening in Council Chambers. On Monday, councilors placed Ordinance 240-22 on second reading, which would authorize the city auditor to pay eligible city employees who worked during the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020 a one-time discretionary bonus of $1,000.

Ohio Auditor Keith Faber in town to present the awards to Allen County Auditor Rachel Gilroy. This is the 4th year that her office and the 3rd for the landbank. The state not only looks over the books but also the legislation that determines the usage of taxpayers' dollars. By receiving a "clean audit" from the state, it does affect other aspects of government.

Ohio's new auditor is working on ways to help his office be more effective and efficient in protecting taxpayer money. Auditor Keith Faber says his office is rated one of the best in the country and has 800 employees in eight locations around the state. After five weeks on the job, Faber is looking at a few ways to help local governments become better stewards of taxpayers money.

Keith Faber was sworn in as Ohio's 33rd Auditor of State.

Ohio Supreme Court Justice Sharon Kennedy administered the oath to Faber in the Ohio Senate chamber today(1/14/19). Faber has nearly two decades of service as an elected official in Columbus, serving as a state representative, state senator, and Senate president.
