Ohio's state auditor was the guest speaker Friday at the Allen County Republican Luncheon.
State Auditor Keith Faber was welcomed to the luncheon and talked about how his agency has been protecting Ohioans' tax dollars as well as other news from his office. Faber also took the time to talk about the current status of redistricting in the state of Ohio.
"We have convicted over 70 individuals who were lying, stealing, and cheating with government money," stated Ohio State Auditor Keith Faber. "We have found billions of dollars of waste, fraud, and abuse and we have issued performance audits saving hundreds of millions of dollars, so we have talked a bit about that. I'm also going to be talking some about redistricting and what's going on in that as a member of the Redistricting Commission, and my belief is that you can't violate the Constitution to gerrymander in favor of one party or the other and you can't draw spaghetti districts to create more Democrat districts."
Faber also warned of potential scams that are still underway during the pandemic.
