Tuesday, May 17, 2022: We have marvelous weather for today with sunshine and very comfortable conditions. Highs will top out in the lower 70s …
Cloud cover was a saving grace for all of the blooming vegetation as temperatures stayed above freezing overnight. There are no additional frost and freeze concerns within the next week.
A blast of true summer-like weather moved over the area this weekend, pushing area temperatures as high as the middle and upper 80s. A cold front is crossing the area today with off and on showers. A long stretch of below normal temperatures will follow.
A cold and frosty morning, but temperatures recover back well into the 50s today. Clouds will gradually increase ahead of our next system with a few sprinkles possible this afternoon.
A cold start to the week with the threat of April snow showers. We are tracking a system that has already dropped enough snow to cover the ground in Indianapolis, and that same activity is pushing our way. The period from mid-morning to just after noon will bring our best chance. Once the snow pulls away by 1/2PM, any accumulation will quickly vanish. A lull in precipitation will be replaced by a few scattered showers late this afternoon into the evening. Highs will top out in the low to mid 40s.
The air is very mild this morning as temperatures hold in the middle 60s. After a dry start, showers will develop and spread into the area later this morning (mainly after 10am), and continue off and on through the afternoon along with embedded thunder. This round of activity should not be severe.
After a few thundershowers early, a break in the rain is expected for most of the morning. Scattered showers can be expected to build this afternoon with numerous rain activity for the evening hours. A few heavy pockets of rain along with lightning will be a possibility. Expect highs in the 60s. Lows tonight drop into the 40s as rain tapers off after midnight.
A mild and dry start to our Wednesday with a few patches of fog. Expect scattered showers to arrive just before the noon hour, with those scattered showers diminishing by 4 to 5pm. Expect temperatures to hover in the 50s.
A cool start to the day with partly cloudy skies and a few areas of fog. Today is shaping up to be one of the better days for outdoor plans as highs reach the 60s. We'll see some morning sun followed by mostly cloudy skies. The rain chances are slowing down until after 4PM, with the best chance during the early evening for a few brief showers.
