An Allen County man received his sentencing in Allen County Common Pleas Court on Thursday. Dalton Roessler was indicted by the Allen County Grand Jury on one count of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide and One County of Failure to Stop after an accident.

In December, the Allen County Grand Jury indicted Roessler on one count of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide and one count of Failure to Stop after an Accident. He has now entered not guilty on both counts. If convicted on the count of vehicular homicide, a prison sentence of up to 12 years is mandatory. Roessler is suspected of killing 17-year-old Sierra Stewart and injuring two others in a car crash on October 5th, 2020. The Shawnee Township Police say he then ran off, and was found hiding in a Lima home three days later. Roessler has waived a speedy trial, and it has been set for April 26th.

Police say Roessler ran off following the crash and he was caught three days later hiding in a Lima home. Two other people were injured in the crash. Roessler will be arraigned on the new charges next week.

Devon Ketzenberger has been indicted on aggravated murder, murder, aggravated arson and felonious assault. Ketzenberger is alleged to have started the house fire that killed his mother, Wendy Ketzenberger.
The house fire was spotted about 4 a.m. on Sept. 19. The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office told Lima Police they had Ketzenberger in custody. They say he walked from his mothers home at 113 N. Woodlawn Ave. to a house in Auglaize County. Whoever he spoke to at the house was alarmed and called law enforcement.
21-year-old Dalton Roessler has been charged with Stopping after an Accident on Public Roads or Highway, which is a third-degree felony. Friday morning in Lima Municipal Court, he waived his preliminary hearing and now his case will be heard in Allen County Common Pleas Court and presented to the Allen County Grand Jury, which could indict him on more charges.
21-year-old Dalton Roessler is wanted on the charge of Stopping after an Accident on Public Roads or Highway. The charge is a third-degree felony. Police say 17-year-old Sierra Stewart was killed during the rollover crash on Spencerville road. Two other passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Roessler fled after the crash, a K-9 search of the area turned up nothing. He is still on the run. Law enforcement believes alcohol is a factor in the crash.
