A much cooler and breezy morning as clouds give way to sunshine. A beautiful blue sky will be with us this afternoon, but it will be windy as temperatures stay cool. A wind advisory will go into effect after 12PM through 8PM. Gusts late this afternoon could hit 40 to 45 mph. Temperatures will reach the upper 50s for the daytime high.
The air is very mild this morning as temperatures hold in the middle 60s. After a dry start, showers will develop and spread into the area later this morning (mainly after 10am), and continue off and on through the afternoon along with embedded thunder. This round of activity should not be severe.
A strong storm system continues to unleash strong winds and create big temperature extremes in our area. Wednesday's temperature topped out at a warm 75°, our warmest day since October 15th. The winds became very strong overnight with several gusts topping 50mph - peaking at 56mph. The wind stays gusty today as temperatures crash into the 40s. Wind alerts from the National Weather Service are set to fully expire by 2pm as gusts taper closer to 30mph by late afternoon.
A substantial warm-up arrives today on gusty southerly winds. Expect temperatures to end up in the 70 to 75° range by 5pm! Outside of a random, brief shower, the area should remain dry with mostly cloudy skies. A wind advisory begins at noon with gusts up to 40mph expected later today.
An impressive late March chill on this Monday morning with lows dipping into the upper 10s in several locations. Unseasonably cold, but far from a record. Today's record low is 1° set in 1934. Expect a good deal of sunshine today with afternoon highs in the middle 30s.
A mild and damp morning with scattered showers moving through. Scattered rain will continue this morning. The atmosphere will grow unstable this afternoon and allow for a scattering of thunderstorms. The best threat occurs from 2PM through around sunset (8PM). The stronger storms could produce large hail and damaging wind gusts, but there is also a chance for a brief, weak tornado or two. Not every location will see storms or severe weather, but have a way to receive weather alerts. These storms will be racing through, in some cases moving up to 50mph.
