(WLIO) — The Big Ten released its full football schedule for the 2026 season, highlighting a demanding midseason stretch for Ohio State and a front-loaded home slate for Michigan.
Ohio State will open the season on September 5 at Ohio Stadium against Ball State before heading to Austin, Texas for a marquee nonconference matchup with the Longhorns. The Buckeyes then face Kent State and Illinois, followed by conference games against Iowa and Maryland.
The centerpiece of the schedule comes on October 17, when Ohio State travels to Indiana for a Big Ten Championship rematch between the last two national champions. The Buckeyes will have a bye week following that game, then head west to face USC before returning home to host Oregon.
Northwestern and Nebraska follow on the schedule before Michigan visits Ohio Stadium on November 28 to close the regular season.
Michigan’s schedule begins with Western Michigan, followed by a high-profile matchup with Oklahoma. The Wolverines will play four straight home games to open the season, with six of their first seven contests taking place at the Big House. Michigan’s bye week falls on October 10.
The Wolverines are set to face Indiana the week after the Hoosiers play Ohio State and will travel to Oregon in November, before wrapping up the regular season with the annual rivalry game against the Buckeyes.
