LIMA (WLIO) — The University of Northwestern Ohio men’s golf team captured the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championship with a commanding performance.
UNOH finished at plus-18 overall, 16 strokes ahead of second-place Lawrence Tech, marking the largest margin of victory in the tournament since 2019, when the Racers won by 43 strokes.
The Racers carried an eight-stroke lead into the final day and doubled it to pull away from the field. Defiance College finished fourth at plus-51.
UNOH and Lawrence Tech remain the only programs to win the conference title since 2018, with the Blue Devils claiming the previous two championships.
With the win, UNOH advances to the NAIA National Championship for the third time in four years, set to begin May 12 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
