LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Creative minds from across the region came together for a big celebration of art and music in downtown Lima.

The 6th annual Legacy Arts Street Party was held at a new location this year, the Greater Lima Region Amphitheater. The free event allowed visitors to browse numerous vendors selling art and more, while four bands took the Amphitheater stage to perform. Many of the artists and musicians featured were from the Lima area.

“So, the legacy art street party has been a labor of love for us for so long, because we genuinely appreciate the people that we do this with, whether it's the art vendors, whether it's the food trucks or the music that we get, these are all people that are doing things that we believe strongly in. So, to be able to show this area what is coming out of here, and show people that there's, you know, really something to take pride in, has always been a huge foundation for us to put this on,” said Omar Zehery, Legacy Arts Street Party.

“We just love every year it continues to grow. So many people come out. We have new vendors, returning vendors. You know, it's just really growing, and we couldn't do it without the support of all our incredible community partners, and so we thank them for that and seeing the value in bringing an event like this to our community,” said Kayla Zehery, Legacy Arts Street Party.

Legacy Arts is a nonprofit organization founded by local artists and musicians committed to enriching and promoting creativity in the Greater Lima region.
