A Middle Point man has signed a time waiver and has a jury trial date set for a tampering with evidence charge in the disappearance of a Van Wert man back in 2016.

57-year old Dale Gear was indicted back in August of 2021 when new evidence was found surrounding the investigation into the disappearance of Kori Glossett. At a pre-trial Thursday, a criminal jury trial was set to begin on June 6th.
Since a two-day search of Gear’s Middle Point property in October of 2016 more evidence was found that according to court documents “Glossett’s family identified as his clothing” led to the indictment. Additional blood samples from the property were also tested since the case was considered “cold” and they were confirmed to be a match to Glossett’s DNA.
