Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach announced the searches at multiple properties, in and around the Middle Point area, have concluded. Sheriff Riggenbach said locations of the properties where the searches were conducted included 304 S. Adams St. in Middle Point, 7266 Middle Point Wetzel Road, a field at the intersection of Slane and Galvin Roads, and a field and partial woods at the intersection of Church and Middle Point Wetzel Roads. Sheriff Riggenbach also said the search warrants that were executed are related to the missing person investigation being conducted by the Van Wert City Police Department, involving Kori Glossett.
Sheriff Riggenbach advised that, during the execution of the search warrants, a number of pieces of evidence were collected by BCI agents for analysis. Sheriff Riggenbach also advised he would not comment on the evidence collected by BCI agents. Sheriff Riggenbach stated the missing person investigation being conducted by the Van Wert City Police Department is continuing, that several tips have been received and investigators are following up on those tips.
Sheriff Riggenbach said investigators will be checking other locations as a part of this investigation. As investigators will be checking other locations, Sheriff Riggenbach is asking hunters to be aware of this, and continue to be aware of their surroundings while they hunt, to maintain everyone’s safety.
