A Lima man changes his plea on charges involving providing the drugs that killed a woman last year.
27-year-old Zachary Hughes pleaded guilty to trafficking a fentanyl-related compound and reckless homicide, which was reduced from involuntary manslaughter. A third charge of corrupting another with drugs was dropped because of a plea deal. According to the indictment, Hughes provided the drugs that led to the death of a woman back in April of 2021. He will be sentenced in August.
39-year-old Joshua Hughes was indicted for the same death. Last month, he took a deal and pleaded guilty to the same charges. He will be sentenced later this month.
