Allen Co. American Red Cross needs more blood donors for the holidays

The Allen County Red Cross, holding its third and last blood drive of the year at Elida High School, and organizers said this is a critical time to give. 

Blood drive organizers say during the holidays blood donations decrease and once adverse weather hits the need for more blood increases. Red Cross officials want to encourage everyone to give in their free time especially during this time of the year. 

Students at Elida High School help to put on the drive every year. 

The Red Cross will be holding another drive tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Allen County Red Cross chapter office.
