LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Allen Lima Leadership class learned just how much there is to local healthcare.
The Allen Lima Leadership class of 2024 toured the Mercy Health Graduate Medical Education Building and heard from representatives of different departments about everything it takes to run a hospital, from volunteers to fundraising. Speakers also highlighted how the Mercy Health Foundation leads outreach projects like mobile clinics or how the GME recruits and trains doctors to work in the Lima area.
The tour was also a great chance for Allen Lima Leadership students to make connections in new industries.
"You have the opportunity to really build some neat relationships and partner with agencies that, in your normal day-to-day, you're not having that interaction. So, that networking and that relationship is so important. It's just one of those things where now these are relationships you can take into the rest of your career," said Nikki Hutchison, Allen Lima Leadership class of 2024 and Mercy Health financial analyst.
Allen Lima Leadership's 34th class will be graduating in June. You can learn more about the Allen Lima Leadership by visiting https://www.allenlimaleadership.com/.
