Allen County looking for poll workers ahead of Election Day

The Board of Elections needs individuals from both sides of the aisle, with a commitment of 14 hours on Election Day.

“Basically, there are certain areas set up in each polling location where there's a ballot table, there's a provisional help table. Somebody's checking, a couple people are checking people in on the poll pads as they come in, having them sign the poll pad and so forth. So there are different tasks that are rotated throughout the day,” said Beth Harnishfeger, clerk at the Allen County Board of Elections.

Poll workers are compensated for their service, with pay starting at $130 depending on their position.

Anyone interested in becoming a poll worker can contact the Allen County Board of Elections.
