LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Allen County Fair is hosting a night of fun to raise money for future capital projects.

The fair board is selling tickets for its annual Gun and Purse Bingo Night on Sept. 13. The evening will feature raffles and live auctions, with proceeds going toward projects across the fairgrounds ahead of next year’s fair.

“There will be plenty of items up for grabs during the evening,” said Troy Elwer, promotions and operations manager at the Allen County Fairgrounds. “We've definitely learned from events past that we needed more guns and we needed more purses. So, in terms of extra side raffles going on that evening, we've got quite a few neat things up for grabs. Also, we've got a lot of other raffle items that are kind of unique and could pique people's interest. We've got neat pieces of OSU artwork that'll be on display, Blackstone griddles, flat screen TVs, Nintendo Switches, you name it. We have it.”
