News Release from Delphos Police Department 3-16-2025 through 3-22-2025
On 3-16-2025 during the early morning hours, an officer on patrol attempted to stop a dirt bike on W. Clime St. The operator and passenger fled down an alley, abandoned the dirt bike, and fled on foot. The dirt bike was impounded and later reported to be stolen from Van Wert. The incident remains under investigation.
On 3-16-2025 officers were dispatched to the 500 block of S. Washington for a dispute involving a male and his grandmother.
On 3-16-2025 officers were dispatched to a possible crash in the 1100 block of Elida Ave. Officers arrived in the area but did not locate any vehicles involved in a crash.
On 3-17-2025 a male came to the police department to report possible Identity Theft. The male said that he received a bill from an account that he did not open.
On 3-17-2025 officers spoke with a male who reported his juvenile daughter being in a relationship with an adult male. The father requested that the male have no contact with him or his daughter.
On 3-17-2025 officers were sent to a residence in the 400 block of S. Jefferson St, for an Unruly Juvenile complaint.
On 3-18-2025 officers were made aware of an active warrant out of Indiana for 25-year-old Isaac Schuck of Delphos. Officers attempted to locate Schuck but were unsuccessful. Schuck turned himself in a short time later and was transported to the Allen County jail.
On 3-18-2025 officers were sent to a residence in the 600 block of W. 1st St, for a report of an Unruly Juvenile.
On 3-19-2025 officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Jackson St, for a Domestic Dispute between a male and female.
On 3-19-2025 officers were sent to the 1100 block of Elida Ave, to investigate a two-vehicle crash on private property. The damage was minor, and both drivers agreed to exchange information.
On 3-19-2025 officers responded to the 500 block of N. Main St, for a physical altercation. Officers arrived and, after investigating the incident, arrested a male, 28-year-old Zachary Hickman of Delphos, for Assault.
On 3-20-2025 a female called the police department requesting officers to do a well being check on her father. She stated that her father and her brother, who live together, have been in a verbal dispute.
On 3-20-2025 a female came to the police department to speak with officers about her juvenile son. The female told officers that her son is habitually unruly and is in possession of illegal items. The female turned over multiple vape and THC items. A report was completed and will be forwarded to the Juvenile Court Prosecutor.
On 3-20-2025 officers spoke with a male who reported being assaulted by his grandmother during a child custody exchange. The male stated that his grandmother became upset and threw an item which struck his head.
On 3-21-2025 officers were sent to a residence in the 200 block of W. Clime St, for a Domestic Dispute. Officers spoke with a female who stated she allowed her adult daughter to stay with her. The two have been arguing and she no longer wants her daughter at her residence.
On 3-21-2025 officers spoke with a female who wanted to report that her juvenile daughter is being harassed. The female told officers that another female posted her daughters phone number on social media, and she is receiving harassing calls.
On 3-22-2025 officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Canal St, for a disturbance. Officers spoke with two females at the residence. Each claimed that the other made a gesture to strike them. No physical violence occurred.
On 3-22-2025 officers were sent to a residence in the 300 block of S. Main St, for a loud noise complaint. The caller stated that he could not sleep with the noise.
On 3-22-2025 officers were sent to the Love’s Truck Stop to investigate a private property crash involving two semi tractor trailers. The drivers exchanged information.
