LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - GI Physicians invited the public to Westgate Entertainment Center to do some “Bowlin’ for Your Colon.”
They were out in the parking lot handing out free gear and giving people the opportunity to walk through their inflatable colon model that shows some of the growths and cancers that may occur.
They were out in the parking lot handing out free gear and giving people the opportunity to walk through their inflatable colon model that shows some of the growths and cancers that may occur. Inside, they had free lanes, pizza, and drinks for anyone to join in as they brought awareness and education to colon cancer.
"We are trying to educate the public on taking the well awareness of preventing colon cancer in everyone. Screenings are recommended at the age of 45 and if you have a family history of colon cancer, it is important that you get your colonoscopy done at the age of 45 and every five years to keep up on your screenings to prevent you from getting colon cancer," said Janelle Reichley, office manager with GI Physicians.
