LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Girl Scouts of Western Ohio is looking for volunteers to support its mission.
As the fifth-largest council, it serves more than 25,000 girls across 32 counties. In Allen County, about 600 girls are involved in Scouting, either through a troop or the Direct Delivery Experience, where Scouting comes to them at school. Volunteers are needed to mentor these Scouts and help facilitate various activities.

"We at Girl Scouts are a volunteer run organization. We have a small staff but we do mighty big things here in Allen County. And through time, commitment, and whether it's a day, a couple hours, or a year long every month kind of commitment, we need your help. And we are able to do more with the more volunteers that we have," said Stephanie Kasza, community development team leader.
Stephanie Kasza recently spoke to the Lima Rotary Club about the Girl Scouts and the opportunities available for Rotarians to get involved and support the program. To learn more about the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, call 888-350-5090.
