LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A meeting was held at the Lima Chamber of Commerce to talk about the issues of electricity bills, and solutions.
Due to the rise of data centers and AI, energy costs are forecasted to rise significantly in the near future. The Chamber Energy Program spoke on how this setback could be an opportunity for clients. The meeting touched on making fixed contracts at lowest energy costs, as well as selling energy back to your provider to bring in revenue.
"You should ride the market and buy when the market is low instead of just buying at any random time when it's high. So, we recommend using the Chamber Energy Program for all Lima areas businesses, to review their bills and find out how to buy when it's low, instead of when it's high, to decrease your cost up to 20 percent," says Jason Brown, director of engineering, Chamber Energy Program.
