LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Mayor Sharetta Smith is preparing for her annual State of the City address and is inviting the public to attend.
Smith said the address will serve as an opportunity to reflect on accomplishments from 2024 and outline new initiatives for 2025. Topics will include progress on the community aquatic center, which is set to open around Memorial Day, as well as ongoing revitalization efforts within the city. She will also highlight the teamwork that has contributed to Lima’s development.
"But also, I think it's extremely important to be able to point out the collaborations and partnerships that have occurred. We have exciting energy in our city with new developments in downtown. There's not a neighborhood that we can ride through in our city where we see, you know, the private sector as well as individual homeowners making repairs to their homes, or, you know, building some new builds," stated Mayor Sharetta Smith, City of Lima.
