LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A foundation at Lima Memorial Hospital hosted a cardiology department insight for donors.
Insight is a unique event showing the behind-the-scenes aspects of healthcare. This event also shows donors where their money goes, how it is used, and how it benefits countless lives. Since February is heart health month, Lima Memorial decided to focus their insight in the Heart and Vascular Institute.
With a tour to show the donors different technology, having a patient testimony, and doctors providing knowledge in the field is a great way to see the direct impact these donors make.
"This one in particular is really special. It's February, it's heart month, so we wanted to highlight cardiology, and the work we do in cardiology. And not just our technology, but the people and the passion that we have for the work we do in cardiology," says Brian Schied, Director of Cardiopulmonary Services at Lima Memorial.
He adds that Insight is a foundation sponsored event, which means that Lima Memorial can connect their donors with the dollars they give by showing them how the donations stay local. Insight will be hosting more events as time progresses. For more information, check out their website.
