LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The City of Lima is once again offering funding opportunities for local artists and art-related events aimed at enhancing creative experiences throughout the community.
Through the Department of Workforce and Small Business Development, the “Lima Creates” and “Lima Presents” grant programs were established to support the growth of cultural events and businesses in the city.
Artists of all disciplines — including film, performing arts, dance, and more — can apply for grants that support professional development in their careers. Nonprofit and cultural organizations are also eligible for funding to create or expand in-person public art events, broadening access to cultural experiences for Lima residents.
“Lima Presents and Lima Creates has been able to further the economic reach of our artists in our community, so they have been able to invest in themselves and in their own home businesses through their artistic skills,” said Amber Martin, Workforce and Small Business Development Coordinator.
Applications for either grant must be submitted by August 8 to Amber Martin via email at amber.martin@limaohio.gov. Forms and additional information are available on the City of Lima’s website by searching “Lima Presents” or “Lima Creates” application.
