Many Lima students and their families attended the annual STEAM Family Night, where children explored more than 18 stations featuring fun activities focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Whether through virtual reality, chemistry demonstrations, or artistic creations, students saw how their STEAM education can be applied in the local community.

“This is a great opportunity for us to take what we have learned in the classroom. You know, we focus on those state testing and getting the students prepared for that, but for them to actually step back and see a lot of those lessons come to life, to see those connections, and to see people that are actually doing that work out in our community as well. Active scientists, professors are here contributing their knowledge, and people that are everyday applying what they've learned,” says Chad Fallis, South Science & Technology Magnet School Principal, Lima City Schools.
