LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A man is in custody after being found with a 15-year-old girl who had been reported missing from North Carolina.
The Lima Police Department says that they received a report on November 2nd from the FBI and authorities from Mitchell County, North Carolina that a person of interest in a missing persons case may have been spotted in the 600 block of Colombia Drive.
When officers arrived, they found 15-year-old Neveah Patton, who was reported missing from North Carolina. The LPD reports that she had run away from home and she has since been returned home safely. Also in the home was 32-year-old Christopher Biederman, who is from this area and was wanted in North Carolina on abduction charges.
He was taken into custody and is currently being held on fugitive from justice and suspicion of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor charges.
The Lima Police Department is working with the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office and the FBI on bounding the case over to those agencies and extraditing Biederman back to North Carolina.
There will be no local charges against Biederman.Â
