LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - ODOT crews are working around the clock to clear the roads after the winter storm.
ODOT District 1 officials say 96 crews have been moving day and night to make sure the roads are safe to travel. There are 15 ODOT crews out plowing the roads today.
We hopped in the cab with one of the drivers, Nathan Greenwood, and spoke with him about what precautions drivers should take on the roads, specifically when near a plow truck.
"The biggest thing is when you see us coming, slow down, try to give us room. We do hug the center line, just give us room to work and take your time when the weather's bad out," says Nathan Greenwood, Auxiliary driver, ODOT.
Make sure to give the plow drivers plenty of room to do their work.
ODOT reminds drivers to avoid passing plows, as the road behind them is much clearer than ahead. Make sure to give the plow drivers plenty of room to do their work.
