LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It has become a holiday tradition in the Lima area. The South Side Christian Church's Holiday Treasures Bazaar is at the end of this week.
The bazaar dates back to the 1950s, raising money for local non-profits, and it also provides fellowship for those who work on the sale.
Members of the Disciples of Christ women's group at the church work all year crafting and creating. The bazaar dates back to the 1950s, raising money for local non-profits, and it also provides fellowship for those who work on the sale.
Not only will there be crafts and decorations, but baked goods and a lunch menu as well.
Members say they are blessed to be able to help others with the sale.
"Especially since we make a lot of money. We profited over $16,000 last year. So that's a good feeling when you know you get to give it away to worthwhile missions," commented Elizabeth Waggoner, president of Disciples Women at South Side Christian Church.

Holiday Treasures Bazaar begins on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Then it is open Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Not only will there be crafts and decorations, but baked goods and a lunch menu as well. South Side Christian Church is located at 3300 S Side Drive, Lima, OH 45807.
