Defense attorney for 46-year-old Terrez Carter has filed a motion to withdraw in both of Carter's cases involving charges of rape, kidnapping, and drug possession. Carter said with no income he'll have to accept court appointed counsel.

Carter, already out on bond with an electronic monitor at his home, would like some more capabilities. He has asked for privileges to work at a local car wash and freedom to exercise for health reasons. The state was concerned with the specifics of his requests. Judge Jeffrey Reed said he'd take the request under advisement.
