WAPAKONETA, OH (WLIO) - The Auglaize County Fairgrounds kept locals and travelers entertained over the weekend.
All weekend, the Ring of Fire Festival had plenty of food trucks, three live music acts each day, and the Moon Market with local craft vendors for everyone to enjoy while they waited for Monday and the eclipse to roll around. Over 80 campers are set up at the fairgrounds to secure their viewing spot, along with some families staying in tents.
"I've had 'em obviously now from Michigan and from South Carolina; I know we've had some from the east and from the west. But yeah, we got a good number of people coming in. It's a little chilly for camping, but everybody seems to be bearing it, because you know what, this is a one-time event; they know if they're going to be here, this is what they're going to have to endure," said Ed Doenges, the manager of the Auglaize County Fairgrounds.
The fairgrounds still have plenty of spots available for camping and parking on eclipse day.
