"Some of these new people he [Chief Joe Kitchen] brought in I know from my other role as Public Safety Director at Apollo Career Center, so seeing these people and people that I've helped train and been involved with and then seeing come into the workforce. And then, not only that, getting the opportunity to work day-in and day-out with them and continue their education and their development as firefighters and emergency medical personnel is very exciting," shares Brock Yingling, Platoon Chief, Bath Township Fire Department.

On Monday evening, we talked with Chairperson Brad Baxter with the Bath Township Board of Trustees about how the fire department's personnel numbers are doing.
"We still are experiencing some financial challenges as well as personnel challenges that we experienced as a result of not passing the levy the first time around, but because we're able to pass it, we're excited that we're able to provide that in the near future. We're not, with this hiring, we are not going to be at full staff, but we do feel that we will be providing effective fire safety services to the community," explains Brad Baxter, Chairperson, Bath Township Board of Trustees.
