United States Senate hopeful Bernie Moreno stopped in Lima on Saturday to speak to voters.

The Defend America Bus Tour made a stop at the Trump/Vance Victory Center in Clock Tower Plaza. One of the main topics Moreno addressed was immigration. According to the candidate, undocumented immigrants are currently receiving more tax-payer-funded benefits than veterans in some cases, like healthcare and housing allowances. He says he'd also work to eliminate other programs funded by taxes, like electric vehicle subsidies and student loan forgiveness. Moreno said that the policies supported by his opponent, Senator Sherrod Brown, do not line up with what Ohioans want.

Moreno said that the policies supported by his opponent, Senator Sherrod Brown, do not line up with what Ohioans want.

"He's somebody that's fully aligned with Kamala Harris and the radical agenda of the left wing of open borders, high prices, and an assault on American energy. The Senate majority runs through Ohio. If Sherrod Brown, heaven forbid, were given six more years on top of the 50 he's already had, the democrats control the Senate; Chuck Schumer is our majority leader," he said.

Bernie Moreno faces incumbent Senator Sherrod Brown in the November 5th general election.
