KENTON, Ohio (WLIO) - The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization held their third and final Bowl for Kids' Sake event in Kenton on Saturday.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nonprofit organization focused on helping young people through guidance and role modeling. The Bowl for Kids' Sake events not only help the organization get their name out in the community, but also raise funds, engage with locals, and increase support for their mission.
With the great turnout at Hillcrest Lanes in Kenton, the Hardin County Big Brothers Big Sisters group was able to spread their message, accept donations, and share with locals the importance of good mentorship.
"Well, especially in a small county, bowling is one of the biggest activities you can do, so why not put the fun in fundraising and have it at a bowling alley where everyone can come together, socialize, and just do it for the children," says Madison Richards, community engagement specialist for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
This marks the last Bowling for Kids' sake event, but the organization will be having upcoming events soon. For more information, check out their website.
