LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - UAW Local 1219 Veterans Committee and Reineke Family Dealerships hosted their 6th annual Veterans Car Show Saturday afternoon.

This annual car show is their way of giving back to those who served our country.
Around 120 vehicles, old and new, were on display at the Ford and Lincoln dealership. Besides registration fees, there were drawings and food sales, and all the money raised goes directly to the Veterans Food Pantry of Northwest Ohio. The UAW also purchased a 4-wheeler to raffle off to help buy a van for the food pantry to make deliveries. This annual car show is their way of giving back to those who served our country.
“So, the locals stepped up, we bought the 4-wheeler, and we are raffling it off, so all the profits will be going to the Veterans Food Pantry. I volunteered there for four years, and I know what it is all about, and it’s a great cause. We really should be supporting our veterans even more than what we do. So, it’s great,” says Jeff Adams, Pres. Local 1219 UAW.

“Well obviously, being in the car business, it’s always been a passion of ours with the older cars, and it's grown into quite an event. It’s wonderful to give back that have done so much for us and our freedom, the community, and it’s just wonderful to be able to help them,” says Matt Holtsberry, GM Reineke Ford Lincoln of Lima.
There were trophies for the top cars, trucks, and motorcycles in the car show.
