Putnam County Homecare and Hospice's 27th annual benefit, Hearts of Hospice, had auctions, raffles, and plenty of casino-style luck and skill games like poker and blackjack. Money raised helps the nonprofit continue to provide affordable hospice, in-home, and palliative care to as many people as possible, and helps pay for equipment and items that give patients better quality of life. The fundraiser gets plenty of support from the community and local businesses each year because it's going towards something nearly everyone can relate to.

"I'm not from here but my grandparents both were on hospice or were in a nursing home, and so I think it's something that people, you know, you see people that you care about going through it and so you want to make sure that you're taken care of later, you want to make sure that the people you care about are taken care of. I think that people want to see us do well because we want to make sure we're taking care of everybody when they need the help the most," said Tiffany George, the marketing coordinator of Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.

Items donated for the benefit included tickets to various sporting events, a vacation to Cancun, and handmade goods.
