At this time of Thanksgiving, many people are thinking of what they have to be thankful for and what they can give to others.

Changing Seasons Thankful for Community Support

More than 100 clients, family, and friends of Changing Seasons Outreach Center filled the chairs at a Thanksgiving feast with all the fixings including a pool table of desserts. The center is a drop-in day service that can see up to 80 clients a day who are looking for encouragement, socialization, and assistance with daily life issues they are facing. Organizers want to thank those who provided today’s meal and others who help throughout the year.

Community Outreach Liaison Maha Zehery says, “We really appreciate the community very much and we are planning, which we do every year, to give at least 100 people a gift for Christmas. We have a book bag we fill with personal hygiene, hats, gloves, and scarfs. Anything you think people would be happy with it. We would appreciate the donations. Thank you so much for that.”

The center also offers a store in which clients can purchase clothes and other items for a nominal cost. There is also a Dress for Success Boutique for more business type clothing for interviews and special events. Changing Season does accept donations for their mission.
