LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - For Christians around the world, the Christmas season celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, and during the Children’s Mass at Lima’s St. John’s Catholic Church, parishioners filled the church to hear the message of Christmas. While there is a lot of hustle and bustle around the holidays with shopping and family gathering Church officials want the families to take time to remember the reason for the season.

“Tonight, we want to talk about the happiness that God’s given us when Christ comes into the world. We have this Children’s Mass, with all of these innocent kids here, and they are going to grow up hopefully with a life of faith, and we are so happy that they are here this evening. It is just a wonderful experience for all the kids and all the families for that matter,” says Fr. David Ross, St. John Catholic Church. 20
