"Wonderland High" is a musical that is based on the writing of Lewis Carroll, namely "Alice in Wonderland". The story and characters are re-imagined in a contemporary high school setting. Thursday night, composer and co-author of the book, James Merillat, stopped by Lima Senior to view the final dress rehearsal. The musical has been performed around the world, and Merillat says that the play was inspired by some of his personal experiences growing up.

"I actually moved around a lot when I was a kid and I moved from Kansas City to Baltimore, Maryland right before my junior year of high school. I remember on the drive from Kansas to Maryland, my mother said, you can turn yourself into whoever you want to be. You can just become a new person because no one's going to know you, right? And I kinda did that. And so that's sort of part of the themes of this are sort of discovering yourself,"  said James Merillat, composer and co-author of Wonderland High.

Lima Senior will be presenting "Wonderland High" on March 22nd and 23rd at 7 p.m. in the Lima Senior auditorium.
