Consignment Sales helps Wapak FFA, Young Farmers

A large crowd was looking for a bargain in Wapakoneta today and at the same time helping a local organization.

The Wapakoneta FFA and the Wapak Young Farmers organizations are benefiting from a consignment sale that was held today at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds.

A variety of large farm machinery went up for auction as well as tools and outdoor equipment.

The event draws people from five states according to organizer Ron Brown.

“Well we started it about 28 years ago. It’s a great community service for us to offer. It allows everybody to clean up, get rid of anything they’re not currently and it’s just super for people to get together. It’s kind of like the fair. You know there’s probably up to two thousand people up here,” said Ron Brown, Ag. instructor at the Wapak FFA.

Brown says they hope to raise $15,000 from the consignment sale.
