ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - With temperatures forecasted to be in the 90's soon, people will be looking for a place to cool down.
While still under constriction, the city of Lima's new aquatic park is looking pretty cool. Work on the two pools is underway. The multipurpose pool has been dug out, framing is up, and concrete could be poured as soon as next week. The activities pool is starting to take shape as well.
"Within the next month or so, you should start to see the foundations go in for the two buildings. And once you see the walls go up, that's when people will really notice the project kicking off. Right now, the pool work is underground, and by its nature, if you drive by the site, there may not look like there's going on, but there's been a lot going on so far," said Ian Kohli.
Kohli says they are shooting for a Memorial Day of 2025 opening.
