Delphos Canal Days celebrates 61 years

The Delphos Canal Days festival had a busy day planned for community members of all ages.

The Delphos Public Library and the Delphos Area Art Guild ran some of the many tables that filled the streets of downtown. There were also different rides and games for both kids and adults to enjoy.

4H is heavily involved in the annual event and helps run some of the activities.

Kyle Luersman has been going to the festival since he was a kid, and volunteers at the tractor pulls so that he can give a new generation the same great memories.

"When I was a kid I always did the tractor pulls and I always helped my dad. It's always a fun event for everyone. We like to get kids involved at a young age so they don't feel left out. Whether you win or lose its all about fun," says Luersman.

Every year the money raised from the festival goes back into the community for different projects and events.
